Evaluations
Scope of Services

Evaluation will consist of a combination of:

  • Standardized Testing

  • Informal observation and testing

  • Analysis of student's academic work

Areas evaluated may include:

  • Language Expression

  • ​Language Comprehension​

  • Speech-Sound / Articulation 

  • Reading - Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Vocabulary, Comprehension, Fluency, Executive Functioning as it relates to reading (i.e. attention, memory, processing speed, inhibition).  Reading assessment can supplement existing psycho-educational testing or be a stand-alone evaluation.

  • Written Language 

  • Consultation with schools, families, and teachers about learning needs

  • Educator Professional Development

  • Evaluations 

  • Individualized intervention

    • Reading / Dyslexia​ / Spelling

    • Language Expression

Who We Serve

Those in need of help with:

  • reading / literacy / spelling (all ages)

  • language comprehension

  • language expression

  • language processing

  • auditory processing

Parents who need help:

  • Understanding their child's learning needs

  • With ways to work with their children at school

  • Consulting with teachers and schools about student's needs

Students who are identified as:

  • Having a language-based learning disability

  • Dyslexic / Reading disabled

  • Twice Exceptional (i.e. dyslexic and ADHD, gifted and dyslexic)

Intervention

Interventions will:

  • Be customized to the unique needs, strengths, age, and personality of the student

  • Be based on assessment information

  • Consist of research-based, proven strategies
